Our focus on social/emotional development is crucial for the young learner. Northlake students show respect for peers, teachers, and school. Their strong executive function skills, their ability to follow directions, to listen attentively, and to think critically, enable our students to develop the habits, aptitude, and joy in learning to ensure their academic success throughout middle school and high school years.

We enable our students to understand their own strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, and learning styles, in the belief that students who are self-aware are better learners and better stewards of our planet, rich in compassion and respect for others and for the interdependent web of life.
