Northlake means seriously fun early education
for preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school children.
Small class sizes and excellent staffing ratios allow students in our
hands-on programs to accelerate a year or more beyond their academic
grade levels. At Northlake each child feels valued. The diversity of
our staff and students and our commitment to the uniqueness of each
child provide a launchpad for critical thinkers who grow to participate
thoughtfully in a global community.

ADMISSIONS Registration Forms The admissions process starts with a school visit. To schedule, please email principal@northlakeacademy.org. TEACHING STAFF Teaching Credentials With many years of teaching experience in both public and independent schools, Northlake teachers are WA State certified and hold Bachelors or Masters degrees in Education. CURRICULUM To foster their future success in the global community, our curriculum prepares students to succeed according to international standards, to be competitive in countries with different educational systems and higher academic achievement levels than the United States. Our curriculum focuses on core subjects and provides students with a strong foundation that transcends the fluctuating trends in the American public school system. EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS Extracurricular classes such as Japanese, Spanish, visual art, music, technology, chess, gymnastics, karate, scratch/code.org(coding), and zumba are available to all students at no additional cost and provide a rich learning experience. Foreign language teachers are native speakers and hold teaching certificates in their home countries as well as degrees from U.S. Universities. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS Tuition also includes extended care hours with enrichment activities such as Chess Club or technology projects (until 6 p.m.) for students with working parents. After school programs are taught by teachers who specialize in individual areas of expertise. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS Sequential lessons and repetition promote academic success. Our programs continue through the summer with continuing and repeated lessons in core subjects along with additional explorations in Science Camp. Students in the public schools lose an average of three months' worth of information over the summer and need to repeat a percentage of their previous year's work each fall. Northlake students attending year-round retain information and maintain a steady progression from month to month and year to year.
